Sussex Best Bitter Alcohol 4.0% vol.

At London Olympia on August 2005 and again in August 2006, Harveys mainstay beer was awarded the GOLD MEDAL in this most prestigious category by the judges of the Champion Beer of Britain Competition.

These accolades are, arguably, the top honours a British brewer can achieve and are certainly the most popularly recognised awards among beer drinkers and the general public receiving a great deal of media attention.

Beer Guru, writer and founder member of CAMRA, Roger Protz announced the winner saying "A richly deserved award because it is one of the classic beers of Britain"

Bonfire Boy Alcohol 5.8%vol. (November)

Harveys first brewed and bottled Bonfire Boy as a tribute to the emergency services, following the fire in July 1996 which destroyed the brewery shop and offices. Bonfire Boy on draught is now established as part of our "seasonal brews" and is available every November. As well as providing a continuing tribute to the emergency services the name of the brew and timing of its availability provide a close link with the extensive bonfire celebrations which take place in Sussex in the Autumn. A strong ale brewed to an original gravity of 1066° give an alcohol by volume of 5.8%. The brew has a subtle smoky character.

Copperwheat Brew Alcohol 4.8% vol. (June)

Inspired by SIBA's Wheat Beer challenge in 2001 we produced a 4.8% ABV beer using 40% Wheat Malt and 60% Malted Barley. To underline the continental heritage of this beer we uncharacteristically, brewed with choicest Hallertau hops from Germany. This award winning brew has been described as 'wheat and sweet'. It is light in colour with a moorish dry palate.
